Filter Bag Technology - Overview
- Accurate Results
- Increased Precision
- Batch Processing
- Lower Costs
- High Output
Applications & Information
ANKOM Technology is the developer of Filter Bag Technology (FBT).
Samples are completely encapsulated which ensures ease of handling and
virtually eliminates error and increases precision. Operator exposure to
chemicals is reduced or eliminated - increasing lab safety. Using
Filter Bags, productivity soars as samples are batch processed in an
automated or semi-automated system. The samples per day your lab can
process will dramatically increase. Costs are decreased as your
technicians are free to take on other tasks while the ANKOM system
manages the process.
Filter Bag Detail
F57 for Fiber: The heart of Filter Bag Technology (FBT), F57
filter bags (for fiber and in vitro studies) are specifically designed
to provide accurate and precise results. For each product ANKOM
Technology designed a 3D-filtration matrix to ensure maximum
solvent/solution flow without allowing fine particle loss. The F57
filter bags are Nitrogen and ash free and capable of withstanding 72%
Sulfuric Acid. The porosity of the F57 filter bag is 25 microns.
XT4 for Fat/Oil: The XT4 filter bags are produced with
porosity at the one-micron level. The materials used support the use of
most common organic fat solvents. The XT4 filter bag can encapsulate a
wide range of sample types for the fat extraction process using the
ANKOMXT20 Fat Analyzer. Each filter bag supports the demanding
expectations of both commercial and private laboratories. ANKOM delivers
the highest quality filter bags to support the instruments designed for
their use.
Sealing ANKOM Filter Bags: The use of the #1915 (Domestic) or
#1920 (International) heat sealer provides optimum results by ensuring
complete bag closure. The use of a solvent resistant marker (F08) is
also recommended for marking bags.
In Situ Bag Detail
R510 In Situ: Quality 5cm x 10cm ANKOM rumen in situ
bags provide a convenient and economical alternative to the sewn bags
often used for this procedure. Used for concentrate and forage studies
ANKOM in situ bags also are available in 10cm x 20cm (R1020) size for
forage.
Made from nitrogen-free polyester, these products have a pore size of
50 microns (+ 15).
R1020 In Situ: Quality 10cm x 20cm ANKOM rumen in situ
bags provide a convenient and economical alternative to the sewn bags
often used for this procedure. Used for concentrate and forage studies
ANKOM in situ bags also are available in a 5cm x 10cm (R510) size for
concentrate studies.
Made from nitrogen-free polyester, these products have a pore size of
50 microns (+ 15).
