FAQ

I have experienced a few F58 Filter Bags break open during an Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF) procedure. Why does this happen, and what can I do to minimize it?

Bag breakage can occur when the heat sealer setting is not hot enough to ensure a good seal. Make sure each bag is sealed within 4mm of its open end. This section includes a narrow polypropylene strip that provides elasticity to the heat-sealed area of the bags to prevent cracking. Different lab conditions may affect the proper setting.

Raise the temperature to seal the bag thoroughly. A successful seal of the propylene strip will cause it to appear translucent.
